Lloyd DeMun Obituary

DeMUN, Lloyd J.
Age 75, of Lindley Road in Lindley, NY, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at home. Lloyd was born in Montour Falls, NY, on October 4, 1932, to Lloyd and Margaret (Wetmore) DeMun. He served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956 as an aircraft mechanic for B-25's. He had owned and operated L. J. DeMun and Sons Trucking Company in Beaver Dams, NY, for over 20 years. He was retired from Devcon International in Deerfield Beach, Florida, where he was the equipment superintendent. He is survived by his two sons, Lloyd II (Mary) DeMun of Lindley, and Todd DeMun of New Port Ritchey, FL; one sister, Pauline (Jim) Tombs of Campbell; a grandson, Todd Ryan DuMun of New Port Richey; several cousins. Lloyd was predeceased by brother, Walt DeMun. Calling hours will be Saturday, February 23rd, from 1-2 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street in Corning, where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery.
