Mary Rogers Obituary

ROGERS, Mary L. (Yoder)
Age 87, of Covington, PA, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, at the Carleton Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. She was the wife of the late Clair M. Rogers. Mary was born on March 5, 1921 in Liberty, PA, the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth (Mase) Yoder. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Mansfield University in the Custodial Department. Mary enjoyed bowling, sewing, cooking, serving on the election board and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Covington Church of Christ where she participated in numerous church activities. Mary is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald C. and Beverly Rogers of Seneca, SC; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and R. Duane Seymour of Mainesburg, PA, Janice and Marshall Updike of Big Flats, NY; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leslie and Joan Yoder of Arnot, PA, Arnold and Jane Yoder of Fort Pierce, FL; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther and Keith Raker of Horseheads, NY, Eleanor and James Hamilton of Nazareth, PA, Beverly and Lawrence Mase of Liberty, PA; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, four step great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Margaret Yoder. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 30, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Covington Church of Christ, Rte. 15, Covington, PA. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Liberty, PA. The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to the Covington Church of Christ, Rte. 15, Covington, PA 16917, or the Carleton Senior Care Home, 10 West Avenue, Wellsboro, PA 16901. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
