Nancy Romans

Nancy J. Age 72, of Carriage Cir., Big Flats, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William M. A. Romans, Jr.; daughters, Elizabeth Betsy (Brian) McDermott of Riverside, PA, Kathy (Brett) Shay of Canandaigua, NY, Patricia Patsy (Mike) Fenello of Lincoln, NE, Sarah Sally Romans of Big Flats, NY; grandchildren, Keith, Taylor, Alyssa, Colin, Kierra and Erinn; brother-in-law, J. Thomas (Joanne) Romans of FL; and one niece and one nephew. Nancy was born Dec. 3, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of Oswald and Ruth Cummings. She retired in mid-1990 from Chemung County Department of Social Services after 20 years of service. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 So. Main St., Horseheads, on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 6-8:00 p.m. Her service will take place privately at the convenience of her family.
