Paul Kempfer

Fassett, PA - Kempfer, Paul R. age 84, a longtime resident of the Fassett, PA community, passed away Fri. July 20, 2018 following declining health. Born on Feb. 24, 1934 in Nanty-Glo PA; Paul was the son of the late, Arthur & Audrey Facemyer Kempfer. He was married to the love of his life, Doris Earley for 64 years and together they have enjoyed a wonderful life and raised a family, of which Paul was so proud. In addition to Doris; Paul is survived by their children, Michael (Cheryl) Kempfer & Kathleen Kempfer both of Gillett, PA; grandchildren, Katie (James) Murphy, Elmira, NY; Rebecca (Casey) Morgan, Millerton, PA; and Amanda (Travis) Kessler-Bert, Pittsburg, PA; great grandson, Brenan Morgan; sister, Linda (Eldon) York, Sylvania, PA; brother-in-law, John (Linda) Earley, Ten Mile, TN; sister-in-law, Helen (Clair) Mickley, Gillett, PA; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Paul was a Tool & Die Maker who was employed by Facet-Purolator in Elmira Heights until his retirement. Paul was also a Gunsmith for over 40 years. He enjoyed bench rest shooting, antique cars, trap shooting alongside his many friends in all the Gun Club Communities. Paul was a founding member of the South Creek Rod & Gun Club, a longtime benefactor of the N.R.A., a charter member of the South Creek Volunteer Fire Company and a longtime member of the Fassett Baptist Church. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport/Elmira on Mon. July 23, 2018 between the hours of 4-6 pm. Funeral services will take place there on Tues. morning at 10 am followed by graveside services in Bradford County Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest.
