Peter Raniewicz

Peter P. Loving father and grandfather Age 88, of 953 Johnson St., Elmira, NY passed away Friday, July 14, 2000 at home after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his wife Mary (Murphy) in 1993, son Peter Paul in 1976 and grandson Luke Clauss in 1973. Survived by his daughters Constance J. Rempe of Lancaster, PA, Betty Clauss of Elmira, Suzanne (Doug) Henderson of Dunnellon, FL, Christine (Jim) Lynch of Bell Canyon, CA and Mary Ann (T.J.) Girardi of Pine City; sister Pauline Raniewicz of Elmira Heights along with 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Raniewicz was a communicant of St. Casimir's Church. He retired from the Star Gazette after 40 years of service and was a member of the White Eagles Club. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barrett Funeral Home on Monday, July 17th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Prayer Service will be held there on Tuesday, July 18th at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Casimir's Church. Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
