Roger Stratton Obituary
Gillett (Bentley Creek), PA - Roger D. Stratton, age 70, a long time resident of Gillett (Bentley Creek), PA, passed away at the Robert Packer Hospital on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
Roger was born on September 25, 1950, the son of the late Carl and Bernice (Durfee) Stratton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Ronnie, Larry, and Bobby Stratton.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cheryl Andrus Stratton; daughters, Kelly (Kevin) Goodwin, Karrie (Ray) Chappel, Renee (Mike) Kiger; son, Raymond (Lacy) Sickler; grandchildren, Trace and Thad Goodwin, Taylor, Owen, and Kaylee Chappel, Alex Sickler, Graeme Pflieger, Lily and Abby Sickler; sister, Dodie Livermore; brothers, Norman and Paul Stratton; mother-in-law, Delores Raymond; several nieces and nephews; and special dog, Waylon.
Roger worked many years driving a tractor trailer both over the road for Dimon and Bacorn and with S.M. Flickenger, until driving a school bus for the Elmira City School District. Roger was an avid hunter and loved showing his '33 Ford coupe. He was a die hard Steelers fan and loved watching NASCAR.
Friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Penna. Ave., on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
