Skip Hall Obituary

HALL, Skip
A Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating Skip's life, was held Monday, November 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. St. Mary Our Mother Church, Horseheads. Con-celebrants were Father Christopher Linsler, Father John Gathenya, and Father Bob Ring, assisted by Deacon Bob Stowell. Skip's son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Kersten Hall; along with his daughter, Kris Hall, placed the funeral pall on his casket, with his wife, Sandy Hall then placing the crucifix. Readings were given by Skip's sister, Carolyn Hall, and brother-in-law, Rob Thompson. Deacon Stowell read the Gospel and Father Gathenya delivered the homily. Grandchildren, Jake, Jensen, and Simon Hall; along with Kelsey Reed presented the Offertory Gifts. Eucharistic Ministers were Don and Faith Eaton. Music was led by organist Cathy Peckham, and The Resurrection Choir. Interment followed at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery, with Father Linsler and Father Ring leading the prayers. Bagpiper, Marty Devault piped at the committal service. Pallbearers were Skip's brother, Bruce Hall, Jake Hall, RobThompson, and friends, Peter Knott, Michael Walton, Will Williams, Denzel Harris, and Charlie Anderson.

I will always remember the great times I shared with Skip. One of the most memorable times was the senior party on Grove St. when Alan(Bid Daddy) Russel was perched in a tree, reading beatnik poetry.
My prayers are with his family.
