Selma Annie Ossmen

1937 - 2025

Selma Annie Ossmen age 87, passed away June 23, 2025 at home. She was born Dec 18, 1937, in Rigby to Harry and Selma Fell. She was the big sister to June, Carrol, Barbara, and Patty and her little brother Richard. She also had three older half-brothers that she loved very much, Earl, Doug, and Eldon. She graduated from Rigby High School in 1956, and the Vocational College as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1981 fulfilling her life-long dream of becoming a nurse. Annie married Gale Ossmen on May 31, 1957 and they solemnized their marriage in the Idaho Falls Temple a year later. Then they moved to California for employment and were blessed with six children during the 15 years there. They returned to Rigby where they built a beautiful home, grew big gardens, farmed the land for hay and raised cows. Annie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in each of the organizations. She also loved family history, indexing, and serving with Gale in the temple. She is survived by her husband of 68 years and her children: Robert (Annette) Ossmen, Suzanne (Stan) Garrett, Connie (Jason) O'Rullian, Renee (Trace) Dawson, Sandra (Rob) Williamson, Jeanine (Loy) Moser, 18 grandchildren and 29 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Rigby East Stake Center, (4021 E 300 N, Rigby, ID 83442). A viewing will be held Tuesday the night before at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main Street Rigby, Idaho, 83442) from 6:00-7:30pm and Wednesday prior to the service at the Rigby East Stake Center from 9:30-10:45am. Interment will follow at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery (4023 Ririe Hwy, Rigby, ID 83442). Condolneces may be sent to the family at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
