Clarence Andy Kinnamon

1937 - 2024

Clarence Andy Kinnamon passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Bayhealth Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was 87.

Clarence was born at home in Goldsboro, MD and was the son of the late Calvin Kinnamon and Lola (Bickling) Kinnamon. Clarence graduated from Greensboro High School in 1956 and then enlisted in the US Army for two years. He then attended Goldey-Beacom College where he earned an associate's degree in accounting and business. He worked at Kent County Public Works for 21 years and also at Sea Watch in Milford, DE for 15 years both in the maintenance department until he fully retired in 2000.

Clarence enjoyed going to car shows, playing guitar, taking rides in his truck to the local McDonald's, and visiting Rehoboth Beach for Thrasher fries. Many nights, he could be found working in his garage doing autobody repairs and painting cars. He liked old country music especially George Jones and Johnny Cash. He loved animals of all kinds but had a fondness for his cats and his beloved dog, Rocky. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the local AARP.

Clarence was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Lord; his eldest daughter, Brenda Rawley; and his youngest son, Jeffrey Kinnamon.

Clarence is survived by his children: daughter Deanna (Gordon) Jackson of Hartly, DE; son Luke Kinnamon of Hartly, DE; and daughter Kelli (Bruce) Ruff of Barclay, MD; six grandchildren: Kayla, Allison, Jason, Nikki, Aaron and Paige; four great- grandchildren: Skyleigh, Lylah, Aiden, and Grayson; and a lifelong friend, Doris Kinnamon.

A funeral ceremony will be held on December 30, 2024, at Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 West Sunset Avenue, Greensboro, MD. Friends and family may visit between 12 PM-2 PM prior to the service with the burial to follow at the Greensboro Cemetery.
