Edythe Sinclair Obituary

Edythe May Sinclair of Dover, DE, formerly of Denton, MD, gently passed through Heaven's Gates on Monday, October 6, 2025. She was 89 years old.

Born in Annapolis, MD, Mrs. Sinclair was the daughter of the late Lewis Lambdin Robinson and Edythe May Smith Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John (Jack) Hamilton Maurice Sinclair who went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2019.

Mrs. Sinclair was a 1954 graduate of Annapolis High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grand mother and soon to be great great grandmother. She loved to travel and did so for 12 years with her husband Jack in their motorhome. Edythe entered the business world at the age of 16 and continued her working career until the age of 84 when Alzheimer's took her away from AccuTax where she worked for the last 30 years with her husband, three daughters, 5 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

"Ms. Edythe", as she was known by many, loved her church, Calvary Baptist Church in Denton, MD and her greatest passion from her childhood to the last clear words she uttered, was serving the Lord and loving not just her children, but all children. She participated, started, funded or fought for every children's program that to this day is still active and played and taught piano for over 40 years.

Mrs. Sinclair is survived by three daughters: Deborah (Debbie) Lynn Thomas Bojko (Tom) of Dover, DE, Cindy Lou Clough of Milford, DE and Brenda Lee Harris of Hartly, DE: two sons, Walter Lewis Sinclair (Corinne) of Savage, MD and John Allen Sinclair of Grove City, PA: 12 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and her first great great grandson that is expected any day. She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Lou Clough and Tommy Harris; a daughter-in-law, Julie Sinclair and a granddaughter, Cristina Sinclair.

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 18th at Calvary Baptist Church in Denton. There will be public viewing/'visitations from 5 until 7 PM on Friday, October 17th at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. at 12 S. 2nd Street in Denton and from 10 until 11:00 AM before the service at the church Saturday. The internment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park on Rt. 50 near Easton, MD.

If friends wish to send memorial donations, Mrs. Sinclair requested that they be sent to the Calvary Baptist Church, 1120 Market Street, Denton, MD 21629. Cards,. letters, memories can be mailed to AccuTax, 408 Martin St., Dover, DE 19901 or forwarded/dropped off to her church.

Edythe was always joyful, warm, and friendly whenever and wherever we got together, and as much as we loved visiting with her, we knew she enjoyed our visits even if it was tax time! She will be forever missed, and always loved. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to her devoted family.
