Jimmie Burget Obituary

Jimmie "Dale" Burget of Preston, MD, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, after a long illness. He was 79 years old.

Born in Quitman, GA on September 6, 1945, Mr. Burget was the son of the late Max Melville Burget and Florrie Lee Johnson Burget. The Burget family moved to Baltimore when Dale was 2 years old. He was a 1963 graduate of Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School in Baltimore, MD.

Mr. Burget owned and operated the Class Janitorial business in Glen Burnie, MD until 2009, when he and his wife moved to Preston, MD. Dale retired in 2010. He was well know for his light hearted humor and friendliness. He was a lifelong member of Jehovah's Witnesses devoting his time to zealously support the volunteer ministry.

Mr. Burget leaves to cherish fond memories his beloved wife of 56 years, Laura L. Burget of Preston; one son, Sean Burget (Rebecca) of Sykesville, MD; a cherished grandson, Ryan Burget; as well as beloved cousins and nephews.

Memorial Service arrangements will be announced. If friends would like to make a memorial donation in memory of Mr. Burget, the family suggests to please donate to Jehovah's Witness's at www.jw.org
