John Davidson Obituary

John Jesse Davidson died peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025. John was born on September 10, 1935. He retired from Preston Trucking Co. in 1998.

John was born to the late Jack Davidson and Hazel (Nagel). On June 30, 1956, he married the love of his life, Alice. An avid outdoorsman, John enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he once worked as a waterfowl guide. He is survived by daughters Theresa Meredith (Michael), Lorri Kirwan, Hazel Burt (Jim) and Roxanne Brooks (Benny); Grandchildren Heather Meredith (Eric), Branden Meredith (Heather) and Sarah Hall (Christopher); Great-Grandchildren Devin and Chloe Lord, Taylor, Jacob, Gregory and Sophia Meredith and Ryleigh and Caleb Hall; and a very special caregiver, Diana Patchett.

John was proceeded in death by his wife, Alice.

A visitation will be held from 11-11:30 AM on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 11:30AM.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Preston Volunteer Fire Company 3680 Choptank Rd, Preston, MD 21655, or Bethlehem Wesleyan Church Food Pantry 5330 Bethlehem Rd. Preston MD, 21655.
