Patsy Nichols Obituary
Born August 20, 1942 in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Handy Causey and Pauline Causey Hughes.
Pasty was a Registered Nurse and worked for Wicomico County Health Department and Dorchester County Health Department.
She attended Vienna United Methodist Church, was a member of Vienna VFC Ladies Auxiliary and previously served as secretary for the Vienna Town Council.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Nichols of Salisbury (Penni), Jamie Nichols of Vienna (Cyndi Milligan); two grandchildren, Taylor E. Nichols of Newport News, Virginia and Austin James Nichols of Cambridge; a sister, Shirley Gargeu of Salisbury; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a by a sister, Nancy Elliott and step-father, Emerson Hughes.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 1:00PM at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Barbara Mills-Neighoff will officiate. Interment will follow in Dorchester Memorial Park.
Mark Elliott, Michael Elliott, Dwaine Bradley, Balvin Brinsfield, Joey Hughes, and Dennis Lednum will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, P. O. Box 1733, Salisbury MD 21802 or to Vienna Volunteer Fire Company, P. O. Box 5, Vienna MD 21869.

I am so sorry for your loss. Patsy was my childhood friend. We skated on the sidewalks of Vienna, played hide-and-seek and made mud pies.Carole Murphy Brittingham and Rosemarie Willey were also part of the group. As young teenagers we had such fun at pajama parties that Patsy often hosted. Patsy was a “barrel of fun”. This photo was taken when the playmates ( Patsy, Carole, Rosemarie and Sarah ) had lunch together in the 90s.
