Shirley Moore Obituary

Shirley Claire Windsor Moore, most recently of Centreville MD, died peacefully Monday evening, Feb 20th at the age of 91. Shirley is survived by sons Craig [and his wife Sue] and Keith [and his wife Patty], 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Born January 17, 1932 in Annapolis, MD, Shirley married Al Moore just after high school and spent the next 34 years raising a family of 6. In 1976, she and Al moved to Kent Island on Maryland's Eastern Shore where, in 1983, they co-founded USA Fulfillment, an order processing and distribution company that continues to this day.

Generosity was one of Shirley's greatest gifts. She was always ready with an open hand to help someone in need. And she always had an open door policy. She enjoyed having people around and offering a cup of coffee or even a meal to anyone who stopped by was her joy. It was easy for her to pull up another chair around the table. Being busy was also her nature and she spent many hours making things with her hands. Quilting, sewing, making baskets, like Longaberger, making jewelry, knitting and crocheting were some of her favorite activities which she spent doing alongside her many friends and family.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church, 931 Love Point Rd, Stevensville, MD 21666 on Sunday, March 12 at 3PM. In lieu of flowers gifts are encouraged to be directed to the Windsor Foundation, which Shirley founded that supports ministries and mission organizations. Windsor Foundation, 1870 Lynnberry Woods Rd, Dover, DE 19904.
