T. Smith Obituary

Thomas Hamill Smith, Jr., 97, of East New market, died October 29, 2023 at Shore Medical Center at Easton. Born May 16, 1926 in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Thomas Hamill Smith, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth "Bootsie" Corkran Smith.He was a 1943 graduate of East New Market High School and enlisted in the US Navy in 1944, serving during WWII. He retired from Dupont and owned and operated an accounting and tax preparation business in East New Market .He is survived by two nieces, Susan Renee Smith and Lori Wynn Smith, both of Hurlock several great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Corkran Smith, Sr.; his sister, Sara Marr Smith Rossing and his nephew, William C. "B.J." Smith, Jr. Friends may call Friday, November 3, 2023 from 12:30PM to 1:30Pm at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market. Graveside service will be held at 2:00PM at East New Market Cemetery. Mr. David Tolley will officiate.Memorial donations may be made to East New Market Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 280, East New Market MD 21631.
