William Hunt Obituary

William Thomas "Tim" Hunt, 70, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at UMSMC at Dorchester. He was born on February 18, 1955 in Easton to the late William Cooper Hunt and Betty Jean Haddaway Hunt.

Tim graduated from Easton High School class of 1973 and later graduated from Salisbury State class of 1977 with a degree in business. His first job was at Doc's Quick Mart and he worked at A&P Food Store while he was in college. After college Tim joined Prudential Insurance Company. He later opened William T. Hunt Insurance Company selling multi lines and investments. He took great pride in servicing his policy holders. On December 1, 1984 he married the former Kelly Lynn Brown. He enjoyed watching baseball and bowling and was a big baseball card and coin collector for years. Tim was a past member of the Easton Elks.

He is survived by his wife Kelly Lynn Hunt of Cambridge, a brother Randy Hunt and wife Jean of Easton, sister in law and brother in law Debbie Marshall and Steve Marshall of North Carolina, a nephew S. Kelly Marshall and wife Makenzie of North Carolina, two nieces Taylor Anderson and Christin Hunt of Easton. A great niece Emileigh Marshall and two great nephews Colton Anderson and Caden Anderson. He is also survived by his cherished fur babies Hilly, Clifford and Oakey.

Pallbearers will be Randall Hunt, Robin Lyons, Greg Haddaway, Ronnie Haddaway, Herman Haddaway, Jr., Kelly Marshall and Rodney Cannon.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Andrews, Bob Bozman, Bill Burris, Tom Golt and Mark Bryan.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home at 11 AM with Rev. Randall Blackmon officiating. Interment will follow at Old Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Talbot Humane, P.O. Box 1143, Easton, MD 21601, Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 or Faith Baptist Fellowship, 1312 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
