William Moore Obituary

FLORIDA - William (Bill) H. Moore, formerly of Cordova, MD, passed away on February 2, 2019.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth C. (Betty), and their five children: William A. (Linda S.), Barbara Estep, Lynn N. (Cathy), Bruce L. (Linda W.), George C. (Paula); also a brother, John B. (Ruth); as well as 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Bill grew up in Queen Anne, MD, where he graduated from Tri-County High School. He attended University of Maryland, where he fell in love and later married his wife and partner of 76 years, Betty Callahan. They started farming in 1942, without electricity, a single team of horses and 12 dairy cows, near Cordova.
For the next 45 years, he continued to farm this land, and raise his family on what would become a Century Farm. Upon retirement, they moved to Florida, where they enjoyed golf, playing cards and watching sports.
Bill will always be remembered by his two important life lessons, which are "never pass up a bathroom or ice cream."
Remembrance will be private.
