August 29, 1934 - December 31, 2024

Elizabeth Russell Turner Poage, 90, of Woodstock, VA, and formerly of Culpeper, VA passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

She was born Aug 29, 1934, to the late Russell Alfred Turner and Pearl Elizabeth Embrey Turner Jones.

Elizabeth enjoyed taking care of children and caring for friends that needed care. She loved sewing for everybody and remodeling her own clothes.

She is survived by her children, Sheila Dodson Perrott, of Woodstock, VA, and Darrell Roosevelt Dodson, and his wife, Jessy, of Bumpass, VA; her grandchildren, Darlene Perrott Haines, Christopher Charles Perrott, Owen, Sydney, and Edan Dodson; her great-grandchildren, Caitlin Perrott Carney, and her husband, Dakota, Faith Haines, and Chase Richards; her great, great-grandchildren, Bryce Alan, Grace Elizabeth, and Elsa Marie Carney; her siblings, Harry Lee Turner, Peggy Hilton, Charlotte Kilby, and James Edward "Jimmy" Turner; and several nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jean Sparks, Frances Meehan, Irma Wines, Doris Beard, Gladys Mae Turner, John Alfred "Johnny" Turner, Joyce Bell Turner, and Bernard Earl Turner; and her husband, Robert Donald Poage, whom she has been waiting to be with; now they can be together again.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be held privately at a later date.
