George Bannar Obituary

George Allen Bannar, Sr.

George Allen Bannar, Sr., 75 of Orange, Va., passed away March 28, 2024 at his home by natural causes.

He was a Vietnam Veteran of the 25th Infantry from Oct. '68 to Oct. '69 returning with two Bronze Stars. He retired from Ft. Myers U.S. Army Corps Engineer Activity. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Bannar; and his son, Special Forces MSG George A. Bannar, Jr. He is survived by his brothers, Bruce "Skip" Adie and W."Pat" Bannar; and longtime friend, Randy Cooper.

Graveside service at Culpeper National Cemetery will be held April 24 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your local VFW.
