James Jenkins Obituary
On Saturday, December 26, 2020 an angel walked James (Jay) Jenkins to heaven to be greeted by his heavenly father. He was a resident of Culpeper. He was the son of the late Milton Jenkins and Ellen Jenkins.
He was employed by Culpeper Co-Op for 8 years. He was an active member of the Eagles Club where he served as past president. Jay loved serving in the church he attended. He was an animal lover and enjoyed camping, traveling and getting together with family and friends (Jay never knew a stranger).
He is survived by his brother, Donald Jenkins and his wife Connie of Culpeper; sisters Janice Jenkins of Culpeper, and Susan Boggs of Orange; 3 nephews and numerous cousins who loved him.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 3 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Horizon Funeral Home on 750 Old Brandy Rd., Culpeper.
The funeral service will be Monday, January 4 with a visitation starting at 11 a.m. and service starting at 12 p.m., also at Horizon Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Brown officiating.
Interment will follow at Amissville Baptist Church.
Jay loved animals and spoiled so many on his route. Contributions can be made in his honor to any local animal shelter or ASPCA of your choosing.
I would also like to thank the Fauquier ICU team for their exemplary care of Jay. May God bless all of you and your families.

Jay will be greatly missed running in to him many times at Martin's. When I think of him his smile and laughter always come to mind
