Mildred Virginia Moore

Mildred Virginia Moore, 69, of Remington, died September 3, 2006 at her home. She was born September 11, 1936 in Remington a daughter of the late Harvey D. Mills, Sr. and Nora Rector Mills. She was preceded in death by one brother, Harvey D. Mills, Jr. and two sisters, Dorothy M. Knecht and Marie Mills Quann. Mildred worked for N.S.A. for several years and then worked as a teacher's aide at M.M. Pierce Elementary School in Remington for 24 years until her retirement three years ago. She was a member of Remington Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Richard B. Moore; two sons and their wives, Michael R. and Susan Moore of Fredericksburg and Kevin D. and Victoria Moore of Sumerduck; one sister and her husband, Daisy M. and John Cornwell of Remington; four grandchildren, Rachel Mountjoy of Warrenton, Jessica Moore of Fredericksburg, Adam and Danielle Moore of Sumerduck; one great-grandson, Theron Hise of Warrenton; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 6 at 11 a.m. at Remington Baptist Church by Rev. Joseph Anderson. Interment in Remington Cemetery.
