Roger Vincent "Took" Myers

It is with great sadness that the family of Roger V. Myers, "Took", announce his passing on October 16, 2021. Roger was born in 1935 in Culpeper, VA to Earl C. and Fannie Mae Myers. His parents and siblings Earl Myers,Fannie Mae Knight (Jack), Otis "Pete" Myers, Doris Hitt (Marvin), and Charles Myers (Myrtle) predeceased him, as well as his son, Roger Andrew Myers, and grandson, Ryan Andrew Myers. Those surviving Roger are his daughter, Sherry Thompson (Ashley), his son, Jeffrey Myers, his sister, Nancy Myers, 4 granddaughters, Lindsey T. Wade (Gregory), Jessica Thompson (Thomas Michener), Kaleigh McKillican (Andrew), Briana Myers and 7 great grandchildren.

Roger retired from Virginia Department of Transportation after 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his many friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to turkey and deer hunt.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.

Memorial Donations may be made in Roger's name to the National Wild Turkey Federation, Post Office Box 530, Edgefield, SC 29824-0530, or www.nwtf.org.

Myers family,
Sorry to hear of Roger´s passing. Took was one of the best fast pitch softball pitchers ever. RIP my friend.
