Eunice Anderson Obituary

CHEYENNE - Eunice M Anderson, 81, died of natural causes on March 13, 2007, in Casper, Wyo.
At her request, graveside services for will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2007, at the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, Wyo.
Friends, wishing to make a contribution in Eunice's Honor, are encouraged to donate to the Davis Hospice Center, 6000 Sycamore, Cheyenne, WY 82009.

She was born March 11, 1926, in Torrington, Wyo. to Thomas W. and Anna M. Bracken. Eunice grew up on a farm in the Hawk Springs, Wyo. area with her seven siblings. She studied music at the University of Nebraska and at Colorado State University. After college, she worked as a dental assistant before marrying John Dale Anderson on October 2, 1948. Later she resumed working as a dental assistant in order to help put her children through college.
Eunice was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cheyenne, Chapter S of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and of the Laramie County Republican Women.
She served as an active volunteer for the Cheyenne Regional Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She was also employed as a secretary for the Wyoming State Legislature and was active in the political process, serving as a Precinct Person, an Election Judge and a strong supporter of issues and candidates.
Eunice loved music and was involved with symphonies, wherever she lived. She played in a string ensemble in Torrington, played the viola for the Casper Symphony, and served on the board of directors for the Stockton (California) Symphony and the Cheyenne Symphony.
Some of her favorite pastimes included cooking, spending time with her grandchildren (in fact, all children), snuggling with her pets, and supporting the Wyoming Cowboys.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Anderson; sons, Thomas (Judi) Anderson and Dr. James (Cody) Anderson; grandchildren, Samantha Anderson, Stuart and Brandi Atnip, DesaRae and Jeff Janzsen, Brock Anderson, Ryan Anderson, and Colter Anderson; great-grandchildren, Dallen Atnip, Cody and Sydney Janzsen; sister, Zeta Dodge; brothers, Tom and John Bracken; brother-in-law, Harvey Lauer and sister-in-law Willa Browne.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 53 years, John Dale Anderson; brothers, Keith and Bud Bracken; sisters, Nellie Marlatt and Betty Lauer and her parents.
