Lyle D. Larson May 23, 1948-November 12, 2023 Lyle D. Larson of Las Vegas NV passed away Nov 12, 2023. He was born May 23, 1948 in Dalton NE to Leon and Velma Larson of Potter. Lyle was the second of three sons, Gary the first born and Richard the youngest. He graduated from Potter High School in 1966, then went on to Junior College in Scottsbluff NE for one year. He then enrolled in a business school in Denver CO where he studied computer science. In October 1968 Lyle enlisted in the Air Force where he proudly served for 6 years being Honorably Discharged with the rank of Seargent First Class. He then joined the family business, Leon Larson Motors in Sterling CO where he remained until he retired in 2005. His passion for classic cars was undeniable. He restored and maintained several vehicles over the years, always referring to them as 'his babies. He never knew a stranger, he always said "that's just a friend I haven't met yet". His infectious laugh, sense of humor and devotion to his family and friends was like no other. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard. He leaves behind his wife Judy, brother Gary (Cindy), and daughter Shawna Larson-Hernandez. He will be laid to rest in the spring with full military honors at Ft.
