Peggy Nuss Obituary

Peggy Lorraine (Forsyth) Nuss March 21, 1932-December 8, 2022 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother moved to heaven on December 8, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lorraine was born in Scottsbluff, NE where she met her husband of 57 years, Herbert L. Nuss. They married and raised four beautiful children and have six wonderful grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as her four-legged baby, Lady. She was very loved and will be enormously missed by all. She loved Jesus and was a believer! Lorraine was an equestrian growing up and loved her horses and participated in parades. She was also a talented realtor. One of her proudest accomplishments was going to San Diego City College at age 69 and graduated at age 72 with an Associate's Degree in Child Development! She was quite the student and social butterfly! Her professors, counselors and fellow students adored her and always engaged around her perspective of various class discussions given her lived experiences. Our Mom loved her family, which was most important to her. Anyone who ever met her adored her as she was very kind and very giving. She struck up a conversation with anyone she met and was always mindful to give a positive word and a super warm smile that brought joy and was contagious! Forever photogenic! Lorraine is survived by her four children, Victoria, Terry, Lori and Peggy and David, Grandchildren, Jerrod, Matthew, Natalie and Marco, Jordan, Nathan and Veronica, Larry III, Great-Grandchildren, River, Harper and Iliana and her beloved four-legged baby, Lady. She is the last surviving sibling in her family and was preceded in death by Herbert Nuss (husband 2007), parents, Thomas Forsyth and Retha Rau, siblings Lois, William and Janice. We will always cherish memories shared and are comforted knowing that she is no longer suffering and now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as well as reunited with those loved ones who have gone before her. She is in her heavenly home where she was made whole again. Because of Jesus, we know we will see her again one sweet day. Until then, mother, may your rest be peaceful. We love you for all eternity.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Mom!

Today would have been your 91st birthday and I am missing you immensely. I am grateful of the gift of celebrating your 90th birthday last year as your family showed up f
To honor you and give you your flowers! The gift is the time we spent with you while capturing beautiful pictures of the day. I remember you wearing your 90th Birthday tiara and sash and you were glowing with such beauty and grace. I cherish my memories of you and keep them in my heart.

It's been just over three months, nearly four, since you went to be with the Lord and your loved ones who went before you. I picture in my mind the ongoing family reunion and how everyone rejoiced when you entered the pearly gates of heaven with your hand in Jesus's hand. The love that surrounds you is Immeasurable, much like it is here. You left behind your children and a lot of people who treasured and adored you! Love never dies! It remains alive forever and ever.

Today, I honor and celebrate your life on this heavenly birthday and feel your presence in my heart and soul. I love you so dearly and truly, mother dear!

Always and forever in my heart,

Your loving daughter,

Lori Lee (Lor-Lor-Lee-La)

Dear Mom,

I love and miss you so very much! I cherish you in my heart and memories. My heart aches for you each day as I grieve your homegoing to heaven. Your beautiful and sweet spirit are missed by all who knew and loved you. We didn't understand that your prognosis went from 2-6 months to 3-4 days within a week and we were truly unprepared. We celebrated Christmas while you were still here, thinking that Christmas would be every single day. You opened your gifts starting on December 2nd after being released from the hospital and recovering from influenza and pneumonia. You were doing so well, it seemed. Your spirits were high and we all were so much looking to spend the holiday season with you and celebrating every day! But then we got the news of that you had a very aggressive form of cancer in your lungs and in your breast. We did not anticipate the accelerated pace at which you would succumb to your illness. Those last days were very painful for you, and we prayed God would ease your pain. We kept watch over you and wanted you to know you were not alone; God was with you and so was your family. We were heartbroken and asked Jesus to take your hand and lead you to your heavenly home where you would be reunited with dad, your parents and siblings and other loved ones who have passed along the way before you.

You are so very missed and loved beyond measure! We will always remember your beautiful smile, generous heart and the kindness you extended to everyone you ever met! You will continue to live on in our hearts and cherished memories as we keep you close to us this way. Our love for you will never die but live on throughout the generations of time through your family!

Rest well, my dearest mother! Loving you forever!

Your loving daughter,

Lori (Lor-Lor-Lee-La)
