www.colyerfuneralhome.com Richard was born June 19, 1936, in Morrill, Nebraska, to David and Anna (Sommer) Weinmaster. He was a very healthy 13 ½ pound baby Wow! He grew up in Morrill where he attended grade school and then Liberty Schools until the 10th grade. He then went back to Morrill where he graduated in 1954. After graduating, Dick worked on the family farm until he joined the Army in 1958 where he served in Germany until 1961. He met the love of his life, Dee Cronkrite, and the two were later married on February 10, 1967, in Scottsbluff. To this union, their daughter Lori was born. He worked in farm equipment as a parts man for 28 years at Westen Implement, Hiner, Case Power, and Rose Brothers. Dick and Dee bought a house and moved to Torrington in 1970, where they remained for the next 55 years, sharing a life of love and laughter in their home. If there was one thing in life that Dick loved the most, it was his girls, and he did it deeply. He was a very hard working, down to earth, honest man who did everything in his power to make sure that his family at home was taken care of, especially his loving wife Dee. Dick made sure the last couple years he was by her side, taking care of her and helping her in any way he could. Dick and Dee loved to go bowling and golfing together. He loved watching his Huskers and Broncos play, reading, painting with his granddaughter, Sierra. He enjoyed getting to watch his daughter and granddaughter play sports, and he was their number one fan. Known for his great sense of humor and sarcasm, Dick made a lasting impression on all those he met throughout his life. He and Dee were longtime members of the First Congregational Church where Reverend Matt Gordon was able to guide Dick back to his faith, and this is something Dick's family is very grateful for, because they can rest assured knowing that he is home in the loving arms of our Lord. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Dee Weinmaster, daughter Lori (Brad) Lockman, granddaughter Sierra Staab, stepchildren: Bill (Wendy) Cronkrite, Carrie Deabler and their families, Sister-in-law: Edna Weinmaster, Nephews: Brian (Sharon) Pierce, Gary Debolt and daughter Sarah. Nieces: Gaylene (Russell) Reisig and Nancy Weinmaster, along with great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and siblings: Don Weinmaster, Shirley Pierce, Eva K. Harman and Pat May, all of whom he was very close with. He is also preceded in death by a step grandson, Brud.
