Sharron (Schank) Mehrer Pottorff February 15, 1945-December 18, 2023 Sharron (Schank) Mehrer Pottorff, 78, of Minatare, NE passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 18, 2023. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Bridgman Funeral Home in Scottsbluff with Pastor Rick Reisig officiating. Cremation has taken place per her wishes. It is respectfully requested that memorials in Sharron's honor be made in care of the Panhandle Humane Society in Scottsbluff. Online condolences may be made by viewing her memorial page at www.bridgmanfuneralhome.com. Sharron was born on February 15, 1945, to Charles and Dulcie Lucille (Young) Schank in Scottsbluff. She grew up and attended schools in the Scottsbluff/Gering area. During her younger years she could be found twirling in the air suspended by her sister Carolann on roller skates. They were amazing performers. Sharron married Benny Mehrer in 1960 in Bridgeport, NE and to this union two daughters were born, Kimberly and Tory. She later married Frank Pottorff. Sharron worked many years at Midwec, A Charles Industry, and later at Nebraska Transport Company. Sharron loved her family and creating memories with all of them. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her pets. She is survived by her daughter Tory (Mehrer) Miller; niece Keeli (LaWayne) Klein; son-in-law Steve Jundt; brothers Richard (Laurie) Schank and Terry (Paula) Schank; granddaughters Hana Jundt and Morgan Miller; great-grandchildren Makayla Person, Jaylin Chunn, and Jazzmin De Los Santos; and one great-great-granddaughter Violet Barnes. Sharron is preceded in death by her mother Dulcie Lucille Young Schank; father Charles Schank; daughter Kimberly Mehrer Jundt; sister Carolann Rau; brother-in-law Richard Rau; and nephew Chad Rau.
