Walter Relka Obituary
His memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 19, Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Dale Brown officiating. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Make A Wish Foundation or donor's choice. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com.
Walter was born on March 21, 1929 in Mitchell to Adam and Mary (Sieb) Relka. He farmed with his father. He moved to Scottsbluff in 1957. Walter worked for Ramsey Feed. Later he worked at Schafer Elevator for 26 years, retiring in 1992. After retirement he worked on the farm for other farmers until ill health forced him to be at home. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was united in marriage to Gloria L. Keller on Aug. 8, 1948.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Relka; daughter, Linda (Jerry) Todd of Scottsbluff; son, Dave Relka of Scottsbluff; sisters, Bettie (Elwood) Vogel and Helen Steinmark both of Scottsbluff; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Walt...Every Clock loses its dial in a time of great sorrow and loss..... and time is standing still here on earth until the party starts in Heaven....God Speed And God Bless...you added to my Life that which can not be subtracted from the memories of my heart.... Gloria, Linda and Dave, always remember God's gift to His chidren... Mourning and sadness exist so we forget not those who will live forever.
