Edward McDowell Obituary

On September 26, 2022, Edward "Eddie Mac" McDowell age 71, died at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point, MS, where he had been a resident for the past several months. Eddie Mac was a life-long resident of Starkville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward F. McDowell and Mary Evelyn Reynolds McDowell, and son Jack F. McDowell. He is survived by sons Ledge S. McDowell, Silas McDowell, Matthew McDowell, and grandson Jack McDowell, his brothers Ledge R. McDowell, Sammy Black, and sister Melinda Graves. Eddie Mac graduated from Starkville High School in 1969, and later received his Bachelor's degree from MSU. Before his health declined, Eddie Mac was a "jack of all trades" and held a variety of jobs, most of which were in the construction field.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at Dugan, and Sanctuary Hospice for their concern, care, and devotion these last few weeks. A private service will be at a later date. Condolences may be left at www.memorialgunterpeel.com
