Edith Pryor Obituary

Edith Jackson Pryor, 73, a lifelong resident of Elizabeth, N.J., departed this life on Nov. 8, 2013. A celebration of her wonderful life will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Liberty Baptist Church, 515 Court St., Elizabeth. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services. Arrangements are in the loving care of the Nesbitt Funeral Home, 165 Madison Ave., Elizabeth. Edith was employed by the Elizabeth Board of Education for over 30 years before retiring in 2007. Edith served on the board of directors for the Elizabethport Presbyterian Center and was a member of the Helping Hand Club of the Presbyterian Center. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 51 years, Claiborn W. Pryor Sr.; three sons, Thomas (Janice) Pryor, Claiborn W. Pryor Jr. and Marcel Pryor; daughter, Crystal (Abdul) Williams; three brothers, Clarence Jackson, Artis Jackson and James (Donna) Jackson; one sister, Marcella (Lynwood) Williams; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; dear friend of Ruth Jenkins and Hazel Garlic.

To the Pryor - Jackson families. I've know Ms. Edie my entire life, had the pleasure to work in the same school for a few years before she retired.
