Loving husband, father and Poppop
John Baumann of Linden, N.J., passed away at age 83 peacefully on Oct. 2, 2019. Born in Irvington, N.J., Jack and twin Joe were the youngest of five.
After serving in the Korean War, Jack and wife Gerri raised their three daughters and son in Iselin, N.J. Jack retired from PSE&G after 42 years as supervisor of the meter department.
In retirement Jack delivered Meals on Wheels, golfed, gardened and attended his grandchildren's games. He and Gerri traveled the U.S., but he always loved LBI where they, their four children and nine grandchildren enjoyed countless happy summers.
Jack was predeceased by his father, William, mother, Agnes, and siblings, Robert Baumann, Ruth Murphy, and twin Joe Baumann. He is survived by beloved wife, Gerri (nee Byrne) Baumann; daughter, Dianne Dolan and late husband Keith; son, Bill Baumann and wife Lin; daughter, Linda Baumann and husband Kevin Larkin; daughter, Elaine O'Leary and husband Jim; sister, Mary Gallagher and husband Jim, and his grandchildren, Kelly, Brittany, Julia, Zachary, Corey, Cecelia, Katie, Ryan and Sean.
Viewing hours will be held at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home on Friday, Oct. 4, from 3 to 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Apostle in Clark, N.J. In lieu of flowers, Jack requested donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

My deepest sympathy to the family. "Jack" was a good friend, mentor, union brother and supervisor.
My funniest memory will always be when we were behind a customer's bldg. and were confronted by a large dog. We quickly hopped the fence, ripped our pants, laughed and then realized there could be dog in that yard too so we ran to safety!!!
Rest in peace old friend, I know you have your wings!!!
