Marian Rettig Bernstein Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Marian Rettig Bernstein, 95, passed away on March 11, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, at the Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Rd., Livingston, N.J. Interment will be in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Woodbridge, N.J. Born in Newark, N.J., on May 23, 1922, Marian grew up in Newark and lived in Maplewood, N.J., for many years before moving to Florida. Marian was a life member of Hadassah, serving as chapter president in Maplewood and as a regional officer in Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Franklyn Rettig. Marian was a loving mother to Alyse Rettig Wolfson (Gerald) and Marcy Rettig Nadel; devoted grandmother to Hallie Mason (Andrew), Douglas Wolfson (Victoria Ashworth), Russell Nadel (Tara) and Fran Nadel, and loving great-grandmother to Cooper, Felicity, Elizabeth and Ari.
