HINTON, Aubrey Gene — Born June 2, 1937, passed on December 17, 2018 from complications due to a stroke, alongside a new cancer diagnosis.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Brandenburg Hinton, son Mark E. Hinton and daughter-in-law Deborah Dennard Hinton, and grandsons James Evan Hinton and Joseph Aidan Hinton, daughter Julie Hinton Davenport and son-in-law Craig Allen Davenport, and grandchildren Avery Karl Davenport and Amelia Frances Davenport, sister Barbara Hinton Cody and niece Kristi Cody Woodruff, sister Deborah Hinton Cooper and nephew Anthony Paul Cooper.

He was a graduate of Farmersville High School class of 1955. He worked for REI as Manager of Engineering until 1980, and then assumed the helm of the family business, Hinton Home, Inc., as president and co-owner from 1980 until sale of the business last year. His favorite activities included family vacations, boating and spending time at their lake house in Horseshoe Bay, restoring automobiles, and deer hunting. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed novels about the great American West.

Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 5th at Trinity Presbyterian Church 5871 Virginia Pkwy, McKinney, TX. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society or donate to Trinity Presbyterian Church of McKinney's Building Fund.

The greatest memory I have of Mr. Hinton is his passion for family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hintons. May perpetual light shine upon the family. Forever and ever.
