Nocona - A memorial service for Lewis Dale Dickerson, age 79, of Nocona was held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Shepherd of the Hills Baptist Church in Nocona.
Lewis was born in McKinney, Texas on June 15, 1946 to Carson Bailey and Velma Bea (Miller) Dickerson. He founded Dickerson Construction Company Inc in 1968 in Celina. He married Jerry Janette Stambaugh on August 20, 1966, in Celina. Lewis and Jerry lived in Weston and Celina until moving to their home in Nocona in 2022. Lewis passed away at his home in Nocona on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
He is survived by his wife: Jerry Stambaugh Dickerson of Nocona; son: Blakely and wife Stacy Dickerson of Celina; daughter: Jennifer and husband Dale Hunt of Loan Grove, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Trent Niblett of Nocona, Jacob and wife Shannen Hunt of Nocona, Derek Dickerson of Springdale, Arkansas, Devin and wife Carson Dickerson of Celina, and Joshua Dickerson of Little Elm; great grandchildren: Bryndle Bailey Niblett of Lockney, and McCoy Dickerson of Celina; brother-in-law: Tim Berry of Celina; sister-in-law: Diana Stambaugh of Allen; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: C.B. and Velma Dickerson; brother: Jon Dickerson; and sister: Doris Berry.
