MARISSA GONZALEZ Obituary

GONZALEZ

Our beloved daughter, grand-daughter, sister, mother and friend; Marissa Rae Gonzalez, 25 of Frisco, TX passed away on March 4, 2017 surrounded by her family.

Marissa was born on June 6, 1991 in Jacksonville, NC and spent her childhood years in Vineland, NJ (attended Landis Middle School), and spent her teenage years in Frisco, TX (attended Frisco and Wakeland High Schools). Marissa was a dedicated worker. In addition to modeling, her first job was at the local custard shop in Frisco (Double Dip) and she eventually worked as a bank teller at Wells Fargo in Plano, TX.

Marissa is survived by her parents, Jorge & (Laura) Gonzalez, Cathy & (Roland) Turkawski; grandparents, Jorge Sr. & Carmen Gonzalez, Archie deLannoy; brother Christian; sisters Chantalle and Celine; beautiful son, Oliver; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Marissa will be remembered for her vibrant personality, love and loyalty to her family and friends and her abundance of affection for her son, Oliver.

She was a caring and adoring mother. Marissa had an overwhelming energy and enthusiasm for life and had many talents, and she was most passionate for music. She taught herself how to play guitar at a young age and enjoyed going to concerts with her sisters and friends. For those who knew Marissa, she was bold and courageous. She had an energy that could wake up a room and a laugh larger than life. She was just as beautiful inside as she was out. Marissa explored her love for the arts through acting and modeling and was always willing to lend a hand. She volunteered at the Frisco Family Services Center to help create memorable holidays for those less fortunate. Marissa's compassion for helping others lives on through her gift of organ donation and through the beautiful life she brought into this world 3 years ago. We will be reminded of her kindred spirit through the sparkle in her son's eyes, the smile on his face, the joyfulness in his laughter and the warmth of his loving embrace. Our beautiful daughter, sister and mother will be deeply missed and she will forever remain in our hearts. A vibrant young girl, with so much left to give, taken too soon May she rest in peace in The Lords arms.

We will celebrate Marissa's life on: Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00am The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 410 S. 8th Street Vineland, NJ 08360 856-692-8992 Reception information will be provided at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oliver's college fund. https://www.youcaring.com/oliverjosephhall-771443

I am so sorry for your loss. Although your hearts are filled with pain and sorrow, my prayer is that you gain comfort and hope from God's promise to reunite us with loved ones on the earth , never having to say goodbye again. For Jesus will make this earth the problem-free paradise that his Father intended it to be. I have gained comfort and strength from this promise, May you and your family do the same.
