Bertha, What an amazing Woman of God you have always been to every young person you came in contact with. Back in 1955 down on Masonboro Sound a Young Woman who truly Loved the Lord Came into my life, She poured Jesus into my life from the age of 3. Every Sunday, Bertha & Dan would come by and pick me up and took me to SS and Church every week at Masonboro Baptist Church. Without her love for me I know that I would have probably not have had the Relationship today that I have With my Lord Jesus Christ. Summer after Summer, Vacation Bible School, Bertha again reached out to this little tiny Girl, and showed the Love of Jesus to me. I Have always had a Special place in My heart for you Mrs Bertha, and shall never forget the Love you showed me over the years. Yes a few year ago I was able to Thank her for pouring Jesus into my life, and for being there for me. My parents did not go to church and my Home life was very dysfunctional. Bertha and Jesus Christ was the two I counted on. The Love of Jesus is as strong as ever for me and the only sure thing that has been constant in my Life. I, as a young mother tried to instill that Love of Jesus to my own children and to share Jesus where ever I could. I thank You my Angel for teaching me right from wrong, and for being there for me. I have truly been Blessed from Your Love and Kindness, and yes one day we shall meet again, and sit at the feet of Jesus together. Till that day know that You have and will continue to be in my heart forver. I Love You Mrs. Bertha, Wanda Gail Farrow Wammack

My dear Aunt Bertha you have and always will hold a very special place in my life and the life of so many that knew you. There are so many good memories from my childhood of you and my precious Uncle Dan. I was one blessed girl to have an Aunt and Uncle like the two of you. As my azaleas bloom that you and Uncle Dan gave Troy and I when we got married we will think of you both. I know you are in a beautiful place now. Watch over us as I know you will. We will forever hold you ever so close in our hearts. We love you to the moon and beyond.

Aunt Bertha,
You will be missed by many! You helped guide many and taught us what it meant to be a true Christian of faith. You always had a wonderful smile and warm hug for all you met. Thank you for many years of dedication to Masonboro and all of the Sunday school lessons you prepared for for us.
The Boyd family sends prayers to the George and Millis family. In God's love, Phyllis, Wayne, and Pam

Ms. Bertha was a true woman of God. She taught our daughter in SS for several years and treated her like her own child. Our daughter made a profession of faith at 7 years old; part of that due to Ms. Bertha. She always had a smile and was always concerned about others. God definitely took one of His angels to heaven. May God bless and comfort her family.

What a true woman of God. Ms Bertha got her angel wings yesterday. Masonboro Baptist Church has lost a loyal member. I am one of hundreds she helped raise like her own in the church nursery on Sundays. What an impact she has made on my life. I am saddened to hear of her passing. Love you Miss Bertha.
