Charlotte Wells Obituary

CHARLOTTE LUCAS WELLS Charlotte Lucas Wells, 67, of Watha passed peacefully from her earthly life on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born December 10, 1947 in Falcon, the daughter of the late Wade McLean and Thelma Daughtry Lucas. Charlotte is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Ervin Lee Wells; son, Daniel Lee Wells (Toby); daughter, Suzanna W. Bolin (Kirby); grandsons, Jacob Bolin and Ethan Bolin; brother, Wayne Lucas (Janet); sisters, Claudia Knowles (Jimmy) and Barbara Carlisle (Jack); several nieces, nephews and extended family; and special friends, Linda and Milton Wells. Charlotte was retired from Pender County Board of Education after many years of service. Charlotte loved her family beyond measure and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Being a superb cook, Charlotte was especially noted for her strawberry cakes. She was a Duke basketball fan and so enjoyed watching their games. Filled with kindness, compassion, joy and laughter, Charlotte welcomed everyone she met into her wide circle of extended family and friends. Charlotte's family is grateful for all acts of kindness and prayers that have been showered upon them during her illness and passing. Cherished memories of Charlotte will remain in our hearts. The family will receive friends 1 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with service at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Wayne Keene will officiate. Burial will follow in Wells Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.quinnmcgowen.com
