I got a chance to know and play a lot of golf with Hugh in high school and on the Hoggard golf team. We lost touch for many years after I moved away from Wilmington until 2010. We recently hooked up again a few months ago when I joined the golf group Hugh played in. A great guy with a dry humor and he will certainly be missed by all of his golf buddies.

When I was a stock broker in Greensboro, Hugh used to call me on his day off to go play a pro-am in the area. We always started with good intuitions, but found ourselves having a few cold ones and a great time. RIP my friend.
