Jessica Matthews Skelton

Jessica Matthews Skelton, of Wilmington, NC, passed away Friday, May 25, 2007.
She was born in Camden, NJ, on November 19, 1925, the daughter of the late Dr. Roderic Donald and Eunice Irene Tyrrell Matthews.
Mrs. Skelton was a graduate of George School and the University of Pennsylvania, and a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, William Barton Skelton Jr.; three daughters, Helen Skelton Lewis and husband Neal of Wilmington, NC, Malinda Skelton McKinney and husband Roy of Windham, ME, and Anne Skelton Best and husband Billy of Wilmington, NC; seven grandchildren, William Knox Trask Jr. and wife Ansley, Alexis McEachern Trask, Jessica Langdale Lewis, Phoenix David Walker and wife April, Cameron Rohde Kunesh and husband Mark, Tyrrell Lea Best, and Andrew William Best; and eight great-grandchildren, David John Walker, Kathrine Paige Walker, Mark Kunesh Jr., Hallie Storm Kunesh, Emma Bree Kunesh, Julia Barton Kunesh, William Knox Trask III and Anna Trask and extended family member, Rebecca Lynn Newton.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at St. John's Episcopal Church. After the service the family will receive friends at 541 McEachern Court.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the personnel at Cape Fear Hospice, Oakdale Heights and New Hanover Medical Group for their care and compassion.
