JODY PARKER "J.P." CRAVEN

Our loving father, Jody Parker "JP" Craven left us to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

He was born in Rockingham, NC, on April 18, 1925, to the late Joe Parker Craven and Bessie Panky Craven. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Brehmer Craven; daughter Cathy C. Lanier, and grandson Alan Lanier.

J.P. was a retired builder and carpenter and had operated Craven Home Improvements.

He is survived by four daughters, Trecia (Trish) Elledge (Bill); Terrie Krasky (David), Sherrie Tyler (Elwood), and Judy Haggins (Robert); five grandchildren, Jody Haggins, Mary Talmadge, Adam Tyler, Daniel Tyler, and Billy Elledge; and five great grandchildren; and his dogs, "Patches", "Spanky" and "Spunky".

Graveside services will be held 3 pm Friday, March 27, 2009, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Viewing for family and friends will be at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

Mr. Craven will be missed by many. He was Preston's best friend and he will miss him and his dogs very much.I will miss him too.

Even though I hadn't seen Mr. Jody in years , I know he was a fine man. He will be missed by all. My prayers are with the family.
