John Fiddner Obituary
John Fiddner Jr., died Friday, May 25, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister, and son, Martin Ferguson. Mr. Fiddner was a member and Elder of The Little Chapel on the Boardwalk at Wrightsville Beach and a member of the Little Chapel Men's Club. He was an active member of the Wrightsville Beach Lions Club. He retired from New Hanover County Schools and was and avid fisherman and loved to build purple Martin houses for friends.
Surviving him are his wife, Marguerite D. Fiddner of Wilmington; his son, John Fiddner III of Hampton, VA; his daughters, Judy Allison and husband Chuck of Wilmington, Ruby Jo Barker and husband Woody of New Castle, OH, and Mary Hopkins and husband Steve of West Covina, CA; granddaughters, Heather, Amy, Monica, and Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Cecilia Troutman and husband Howard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Little Chapel on the Boardwalk, 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007, followed by burial at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers are Tom Ames, Fred Johnson, John Bates, Clyde Gentry, Eddie Blake and Jay Baker.
Memorials may be made to Little Chapel on the Boardwalk, 2-W Fayetteville St., Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480, or Little Boys and Girls Home of Lake Waccamaw, NC.

Grainger and I would like to take this opportunity to express our admiration for John. He will be missed by many people.
Grainger worked at the School Bus Garage when John worked for New Hanover Co.
I made and repaired his fish nets.
