Joseph Beach Obituary
WILMINGTON -- Joseph A. Beach III, age 72, of Wilmington passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.
Joseph was born in Evansville, IN, son of the late Joseph A. Beach, Jr. and F. Emelean Ostlund of Evansville, IN.
Joseph served his country honorably as a Chief Navy Seal and retired from the Occidental Chemical Corp as the Purchasing Management. He went to Louisiana State University and was a member of Pine Valley Baptist Church.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Dorothy Beach; two daughters, Tamra Clemens of Pase, FL, and Kasey Brovold of Fairbanks, AK; son, Joseph Beach IV and his wife, Michelle of Puyallup,WA; two step sons, Norman Williams and his wife Jan and Rodney Williams and his wife Denice, all of Wilmington, NC. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Pastor Chuck Love of Pine Valley Baptist Church officiating.
Graveside Services and Military Honors will be conducted at 1 pm Friday, February 18, 2011, in the Veterans Section of Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.

I worked with Joe for several years at Occidental Chemical. I enjoyed the many good times that we shared together. My heart felt sympathy goes out to his family.

I grew up with Joe Beach in Evansville, IN. A lot of good memories come to mind associated with Joe Beach. We went to Vogel Grade School and Bosse High School together. We also went to Mechanic Arts School together. A lot of good times together, especially playing football in his back yard on Keck Avenue. His back yard looked so big when we were kids. Today the back yard looks very small. I considered Joe as one of my best friends. We talked often on the phone and the phone calls will be missed very much. I also prayed for him daily. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.
