As the great-neice of Anne Spence Bellamy and the neice of Eleanor Spence LeGrand Hervey, I had many opportunities to spend time with Lillian. After my husband & I moved to Wilmington, I was a docent at the Bellamy Mansion for several years and always enjoyed conversations with her about the history of the house. For years, Lillian brought my Aunt Eleanor a vase of paperwhites at Christmas. Now, I live in Athens, GA, closer to my daughter, and did not hear about her death until recently. She was a lovely, elegant lady and I miss her. My condolences to her family and friends.

Emmett, Mary & Leslie.
Sad to hear of your mom's passing. I have warm memories of her from our childhood. She was always so kind to me.
After reading her obit, I am touched to learn of all the good she did for those in need.
BRAVO to her for living a full life.

Much love and wonderful memories. Mrs. Boney (and the late Mr. Boney) set an example for all to follow. My thoughts and prayers are with Emmett, Mary, and Leslie as the mourn for, and celebrate, their mom.

Emmett, what a remarkable lady your Mom was! I see where you get your strength of character. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I hate emails at a time like this but I so wanted you to know that I was thinking of you and your family now.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends during this most difficult time. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so beloved. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is in God's memory. Psalms 116:15. Arlene NY.
