Beyond The Pearly Gates

There is nothing that can compare
With love we’ll find out there,
In that lovely place that lies
Beyond the “Pearly Gates!”

Jesus told us all about that place
While He was here on earth,
And said that He would take us there,
When we each had met our fates!

I wish that I could have been
Among those folks of old,
Who saw dear Jesus in the flesh
And heard the stories He told!

He talked of Heaven in glowing terms.
He sure described it well,
And said that if we followed Him
He’d take us there to dwell!

God Himself is always there
Upon His Throne of Gold.
Along with Jesus, His dear Son
And all the Saints of old!

Now I don’t know ‘bout you my friend,
But I want you to know,
That I am working hard to be
Among those that get to go!
