Martin John Yakimovich II

MARTIN JOHN YAKIMOVICH, II Martin John Yakimovich, II, 32, of Wilmington, NC, died Friday, January 3, 2014. Martin was born on July 2, 1981 in Wilmington, NC. He graduated from John T. Hoggard High School in 2000. Martin had a deep love of music and enjoyed any opportunity for being outdoors, especially if it involved the water and fishing. He was employed with Dunn Builders, Inc. Martin never met a stranger and loved most of all the times he spent with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Surviving are his parents, Renee and Larry Dunn and Marty and Katherine Yakimovich; a sister, Kristen Fisher and husband HM3 Rusty Fisher and their son, John Allen Fisher; a step-brother, Shawn Keeter and wife Stacy; a grandmother, Amona Hobbs; a grandfather, Carl Dunn; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. Also remembered is his paternal great-grandmother, G.G. Chmielewski; grandparents, Nana and Papa Yakimovich; "Grandma Dot" Sindt; grandmothers, Joy Robison and Betty Dunn; and an uncle, Frank Demeter, all of who preceded Martin in death. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 am Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 4849 Castle Hayne Road, NC 28429. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday prior to the Mass at the church. The family would like to express a special note of thanks to Pastor Randy Maynard and the Hampstead UMC Church Family and Father Roger and the Parish family of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church for all their love and support.
