Mildred Recordon Obituary
Mildred "Millie" Helen Recordon, 88, a resident at Trinity Grove of Wilmington, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2011.
Millie was born July 21, 1923, to the late Stephen Reskovitz and Katherine Schoy Reskovitz, in Wilmington, DE.
She graduated from Ursuline Academy (K-12) in Wilmington, DE in 1942 and graduated from Saint Joseph's College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in June 1946.
She married Andre L. Recordon on October 19th, 1946.
Millie spent over 35 years caring for others as a private practice nurse in Delaware.
She is survived by her two daughters: Andrea (Sandy) Bruno (and husband Tony) of Huger, South Carolina and Michele Schwieters (and husband Chip) of Wilmington, North Carolina, five grandchildren: Robert Schwieters, Michael Schwieters, Stephen Bruno (and wife Vanessa), Katherine Bruno, Ruby Buddeberg and three great grandchildren: Tyler Bruno, Andrew Bruno, Ryder Ann Buddeberg and step great granddaughters: Jordan and Kelsey and step great-great granddaughter: Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her brother Paul and sister Hilda.
Her loving husband of 48 years preceded her on November 1st, 1994.
Millie was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church since relocating to Wilmington, NC in 2007 and previously a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church in Wilmington, Delaware.
She was a former member of the American Turners Ladies Auxiliary, Red Hatter, avid bridge player and always ready to go shopping.
Millie as she was known to her many friends and family, with her gracious manner and generous and loving personality will be greatly missed.
A memorial service and interment will be conducted in Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Good Shepard Center, 81 Martin St., Wilmington, NC 28401.
