I had the pleasure of knowing Ralph, whom we all called Yank, when I worked at Daniels Construction Company at GE in Wilmington. We were not only co-workers but we also played on the Daniels Softball team in the GE Industrial League as well as the Co-ed League at Wrightsville Beach. He was an excellent softball player. He was also an awesome guy who always had fun every day of his life. He was always happy. It was fun to be around Ralph. He never met a stranger. I often wondered what had happened to him in the years since I last saw him and was very sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers and condolences go out to his family.
