ROBERT ERIC LEE Robert Eric Lee, 69, of Long Creek Community of Rocky Point passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at his home. Eric was born January 28, 1944 in Wilmington, the son of the late Robert Elvington and Evelyn Woodcock Lee. Eric is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gail Herring Lee; son, Christopher Eric Lee (Roberta); daughter, Thea Lee Herring (Steven); and grandchildren, Joshua Robert Lee, Ivy Madison Herring and Sidney Marie Herring. For many years Eric was owner of Lee Farms and Nursery. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Herrings Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Fowler and Rev. Rick Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
