Robert Lee Obituary

ROBERT ERIC LEE Robert Eric Lee, 69, of Long Creek Community of Rocky Point passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at his home. Eric was born January 28, 1944 in Wilmington, the son of the late Robert Elvington and Evelyn Woodcock Lee. Eric is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gail Herring Lee; son, Christopher Eric Lee (Roberta); daughter, Thea Lee Herring (Steven); and grandchildren, Joshua Robert Lee, Ivy Madison Herring and Sidney Marie Herring. For many years Eric was owner of Lee Farms and Nursery. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Herrings Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Fowler and Rev. Rick Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw. Gail and family: I am so sorry for your loss. It was shocking to hear the bad news. Eric was a friend and neighbor. If I can be of help please let me and Ralph know. I did not know visitation was tonight. I will not be able to attend his funeral but know that I am there in thought.
