I was greatly saddened to learn of the passing of my friend Scott. Our history together spanned more than 40 years as we met in elementary school very shortly after he moved to the Cincinnati area and our friendship continued through the high school years and even into college. I was lucky to have grown up with Scott as he was multi-talented person who could make me laugh until I cried but at same time, he displayed a warmth and kindness toward others that I always very much admired.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to your family during these difficult times. There are many of us who will keep you in our thoughts and in our prayers. We will also keep Scott in our hearts and in our memories for many years to come.

In addition to being a great mentor Scott was also a great learner. When he started working at Fortron he was very eager to learn the chemistry of the process and quickly became a very helpful colleague. I was always impressed by his willingness to undertake any task he knew would benefit our plant. Not being an engineer I would talk with him about any ideas I had for doing things differently because his experience gave him a valuable perspective of what could work in the process versus my scientific bent towards things that might work. I miss Scott but I will always remember him as a great coworker and a reliable friend.

Scott was a wonderful person to work with. One who was so willing to help in any way. I will always remember his caring way of giving light to details on almost any subject talked about at lunch. He will be sorely missed. My prayer for the family is that in the days to come as you continue to heal that you experience the peace and comfort of God as you continue to hold Scott close to your heart with fond memories. Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those whom mourn for they shall be comforted.
