THESIA ROBERTS BENTON Thesia Roberts Benton, 87, of Delco went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 14, 2020. Thesia was born October 25, 1933 in Columbus County, NC, the daughter of the late Elillion Laston Roberts and Pecola Grice Roberts. In addition to her parents and eight siblings, Thesia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rev. Martin Linwood Benton. Thesia was a long-time member of Delco First Baptist Church; a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. One of her greatest passions in life was cooking for her large family and friends. Her hobbies included shopping, gardening, and decorating. Thesia was known for her generosity. Thesia is survived by her four children, Janet Benton of Leland, Kim Keeling and husband Ricky Keeling of Fuquay Varina, Martin Benton II and fiancé Rose Hamilton of Wilmington, and Kayla Benton and husband Mike Melendres of Wilmington, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Delco Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Reaves and Rev. Kenneth Benton officiating.
